The Minooka versus Joliet Central game on Feb. 23 was a hard-fought game with Minooka taking the win, 50-48.

Minooka head coach Kevin Cain said, “They are a well-prepared team, and an extremely athletic team.”

Throughout the game, the Minooka boys put up a good fight.

“We were able to contain their scores the whole game and make them earn their baskets,” Cain said.

They weren’t satisfied with just the win, though.

“Even though we still won the game, we were still figuring out how to finish the game strong no matter what the score was in the game,” junior Ricky Hill said.

Minooka started to struggle in the fourth quarter because of “sloppiness” and Joliet Central started to come back, Hill said.

After the game the boys took time to notice their mistakes and that they had to keep the pressure to take the win for that game.
