The Minooka boys cross country season begins tomorrow.  This season, the team is looking for the best possible placements.

“This team wants to win big. Not only state qualification but a state championship. We want the best and we know we can get it,” Andres Ceballos, senior, said.

Finishing second in conference and 22nd in state last year, this team, full of youth and experience is excited to compete.

“I’m most excited for our home meets. The Flight Invitational is a really fun race. I am also looking forward to just having fun, as it is my senior year of running,” Cameron Cimino said.

Preparation is always important when getting ready to start a season.

“We are most excited to win big, we want to win, and we know we can. Championships are played in November, but are won in July and August,” head coach Kevin Gummerson said.

This team is excited and ready to run, and they start with their first race, the Normal West Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 31.
