Poor shooting led to a tough loss for Minooka’s sophomore boys basketball team against Waubonsie Valley.

On Jan. 26, the Minooka hosted the Waubonsie Valley Warriors.

The sophomore Indians shot 30 percent at the hoop and under 30 percent from the rest of the field, according to head coach Jason Boe.

“It was very frustrating that we couldn’t finish at the rim,” Jordan Boe, sophomore, said.

Even though this was a disappointing game for the Indians, losing 48-25, it is a good learning curve for them, according to the head coach.

“If we can learn that we have to finish at the basket, then we can call it a success for us,” coach Jason Boe said.

Jordan Boe had 10 points as the leading scorer for the Indians, with Kenny Weston and Jake Faron following behind.
