The Minooka boys had two bowling teams with success at the Minooka Invite on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Channahon Lanes.
The team went into the invite as a favorite to finish high. They brought two teams to the invite and they both started slow, but finished strong.
“The team did pretty good as a whole,” junior Ryan McKay said.
The teams finished at 3rd and 4th.
“As a team, we are trending in the right direction,” head coach Derrick Rapsky said.
The top bowler for Minooka was senior Drew Toke who finished second as a individual. The day did not start the best for him though.
“I started off the day bad, and I started to get mad,” Toke said.
Toke and McKay both said that the team started to play loose and they really started to click as a team. That’s how they finished strong.
